Fast-growing and tall the Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) tree bears many large, strongly scented, white-petaled flowers with a variety of inner colours, generally yellow-green.

Freshly picked, Ylang Ylang flowers are steam and water distilled to produce an oil that is pale yellow to orange-brown in colour. Its rich base notes are capable of increasing libido and arousing passion and creativity in the coldest of hearts. The sweet blossoms are spread on the bed of newlyweds in Indonesia to celebrate the occasion.
