I have only started experimenting with aromatherapy lately and I am very happy with the whole In Essence range of essential oils. The geranium is one of the latest addition to my collection. I wanted to purchase it due to its calming and relaxing properties, however I have initially hesitated because of the strong and unpleasant concentrated smell when I smelled it straight from the bottle. Luckily, I took a leap of faith and purchased this oil and when this is diluted or blended with other oils it is very very beautifully scented. It has a floral smell. And because of the high concentration often 1 to 2 drops would be enough for my ultrasonic vaporiser (together with 3-4 drops of other oils).

My favourite recipe is Geranium, Clary Sage, Lavender and Orange (occasionally).

Any Tips?:
This is highly concentrated so a small amount would be enough if used in a vaporiser.

  3. Gorgeous geranium
    100%
There are many varieties of geranium oil, so its scent depends on where the oil is sourced from. Geranium oil often has a floral scent that is similar to a rose, but it can have a lemony scent. When I dabbed some of the In Essence geranium oil on the back of my hand, it had a pleasant herbaceous scent. When I vaporised In Essence geranium oil, its scent became warmer with a hint of earthiness or woodiness. I often vaporise geranium oil on its own, but it is a great addition to any blend. I use geranium oil when I'm feeling emotional or stressed, and it has a subtle calming effect. You can even dab a few drops of geranium oil on your pillow before you go to sleep.

  4. Beautiful!
    80%
This is a beautiful essential oil with a sweet floral aroma. It's nice in a vapouriser as it creates a gorgeous sweet fragrance throughout the house that reminds me of turkish delight! It's very nice for the bath, too. It's a good one to have, because it blends well with many of the other essential oils.
