Pure bliss | subtle and soothing frangranceClary sage is widely recommended for women wanting to relax, de-stress and calm the mood. I have also read a few articles which recommend this oil for period pains. It is not suitable for use during pregnancy.
I have been regularly using this oil now for about two months. As a stand alone product it has a very subtle "vegetation" scent (I am terrible at describing scents) which I found very pleasant. I do not use this alone, I always mix this with other calming oils including Lavender and Geranium in my vaporiser. After using it for 2 months, I am experiencing less period pain lately (not sure whether it was a real effect or only a placebo). I haven't tried another brand of clary sage oil but I am very happy with this one.
I thought I might just add a comment on the dropper bottle. All my other 7 or 8 bottles from In Essence are fine, however for whatever reason the dropper does not seem to work properly for my clary sage oil, so that whenever I close the screwed-on lid the oil is forced to the outside of the bottle by the lid.
However this has never happened to my other bottles, so I am sure this is just a one-off issue.
Priced at $26.95 it is one of the more expensive oils from the In Essence range.
Calming, soothing and improving period pain.|
Cheeky clary sageI bought In Essence clary sage essential oil for its therapeutic benefits. Clary sage is recommended for female-related health issues, depression, irritability etc. Clary sage is meant to create a euphoric feeling, but I've never felt uplifted by using it. Perhaps another brand of clary sage could have that effect on me.
In Essence clary sage has a strong, herbaceous and grassy scent; and it’s not a scent that I find appealing on its own. I prefer to use a few drops of clary sage as an accent in a blend with other oils. My favourite combination is clary sage, orange and lavender. I also like clary sage with patchouli.
Please note that clary sage is not the same as common or garden sage.|
Relaxing and soothingI use 3-4 drops of this essential oil in my InEssence ultra sonic vapouriser and this is a delicate mild fragrance. It's slightly sweet and very soothing.
I don't like strong fragrances, so this is perfect for me. It's perfect to use on its own or along with Camomile Roman or Camomile German oils,. I have also combined it with lavender.
I don't know about the true health benefits of essential oils or anything about their properties. I basically try a fragrance and if I like the smell, I buy it.
This is a perfect scent to use anytime of day or night for soothing comfort.
I think this is a basic essential oil that can easily belong in anyone's oil collection. Its mild, pleasant, not overpowering, yet, I feel energised when it's on!
Overall, a lovely light fragrance that's perfect for relaxing and reviving too.|
